Personal Leadership Philosophy

Personal Leadership Values

My personal values that I will implement in my leadership roles are:

Compassion I will show compassion to every child and their family. Helping everyone that I can. I will make sure everyone knows that I care about them by helping them when they need help, talking to the staff, children, and families. Being supportive and understanding is to those around me is a great way to show that I am a compassionate leader.

Respect Having respect for others is essential when working in childcare. I will have respect for the children, parents and staff. Having respect for those around me will promote a positive atmosphere in the center.

Diversity Working in a center there is children of different ages, stages, and backgrounds. I will need to be able to plan curriculums for all children depending on each individual child.

Honesty being honest is very important when running a childcare center. I will be honest with the staff, children, and families. Being honest with everyone will promote a positive atmosphere and everyone will trust me and will come to me with questions and concerns.

Helping others Having the love to help others will promote a successful childcare center. I will help the teachers every way that I can to make their days smoother. I will help the children cope with daily activities and I will help the families with questions or concerns.

As a leader, my purpose is to set goals that will promote success in the center. I will treat all staff as part of the team , we are all equal. I will collaborate effectively with the staff, children, and families to ensure that we all work together to have a successful school for the children. I will focus on keeping my education and trainings up to date and also provide trainings for the staff as well. Being a leader has many responsibilities and I want to make sure that I create a fun, happy, successful environment for everyone.

I will measure success as a leader by how the team has developed and the performance they can provide on their own. Helping the staff use more of their potential shows a successful leader. I will nurture the strengths and talents of the staff so they will achieve common goals.

As a director of a childcare center I will communicate on a regular bases with the staff by having monthly meetings on the progress of the classrooms.

As a childcare director I will collaborate with the families and keep them involved in their child's progress by having a monthly family night.

As a director of a childcare facility I will hire and maintain credible staff that are enthusiastic teachers that will show their love of teaching every day.
